Booking The National Rally:

The Caravan Club is not accepting cheque payments for the National.

Option 1

You can phone the Caravan Club and book by phone.  Payment by credit / debit card over the phone.  You can advise them of the people you wish to be sited with.  They will require the names and membership numbers of those you wish to be sited with.

Option 2

You can request a paper copy of the booking form.  This will require your credit / debit card details including your 3 digit security code.  As a group you can put several bookings in one envelope and send to the caravan club complete with a note explaining how you wish to be positioned

Option 3

You can book on line.  Payment by credit / debit card.  If you wish to be sited as a group with your friends you need to book individually and get one member of your group to collate all the names, membership numbers and booking references and send an e-mail to the club explaining that you wish to be sited together and in what order you wish to be positioned.

Charity Rally:

The Committee have decided that 2013 will be a Charity Year for the Cheshire Centre.  We are planning to hold a charity rally during the weekend of 12 – 14 July so try and keep that weekend free in your diary.  The Committee are also looking for suggestions as to who the funds will go to, so if you have any worthy causes that you would like to nominate please contact the Centre Secretary.  There will be further updates and a page dedicated to the weekend on the web site nearer the time.

 

Hon Rally Sec:

As many of you know, Andy Gibbs continued in the position of Rally Sec along with his role as Vice Chairman due to the fact the centre didn’t receive any nominations for the position at the last AGM.  At the first committee meeting it was decided that he couldn’t hold 2 officer positions at once; and it was decided to co-opt Mike Wootton as Rally Sec as of 1 January 2012.  Now that the 2012 Rally Brochure has been completed Andy is handing over the Rally Sec’s job to Mike.

Please send all Rally Sec correspondence to Mike from now on.  Please continue sending information to Andy if you want anything posting on the web site.

Andy would like to thank all of the Centre members especially Rally Officers again for the support you have given him during his time as Rally Secretary.

 

2012 Olympic Rally - Portland Bill (near Weymouth, Dorset):

For those centre members who fancy watching some of the Olympic's live there will be a rally running from Thursday 26 July to Wednesday 15 August 2012.  Cost: £15 / night (incl VAT) or £240 for the whole period, all fees to be paid by 11 June 2012.

Levelling blocks are a must the field is not flat.  Facilities: Water, Elson, Skip (for refuse).

Reminders

Space For A Rally Chairman:

Rally Officers are reminded they must reserve a place for the Centre Chairman or his/her representative.  E.g. if your rally limit is 30 vans, it is suggested that when you have received 29 bookings (you can create a waiting list), you contact the Centre Chairman to establish who has been nominated to Chair your rally.  (Rally Chairs are decided at committee meetings for the following 2 months).  Thank you.  The Committee.

 

Multiple Rally Plaque Presentations:

Could ralliers who wish to have their Multiple (100, 200, 300 etc) Rally plaque presented at a certain rally please give the Rally Sec at least 1 months notice, this will enable him to pass the plaque to the relevant Rally Chairman.  Thank you.

 

Plaque Ordering:

The Plaque Officer would like to remind Rally Officers that the Plaque Manufacturer needs the following timings:- For normal weekend rallies 10 working days + delivery.  For extended weekend and holiday rallies (special plaque configuration and colours etc) the Plaque Manufacturer needs 15 working days + delivery.  The 2012 plaque order forms are to be sent to the Centre Plaque Officer prior to this time scale.  All plaque details are available on the Baypress web site www.baypress.org.uk or contact the Plaque Officer for assistance.

 

Centre Radios:

The Centre has 12 hand held rechargeable radios, which can be used to assist running your rally (siting vans etc).  They can be booked via Paul Walls the Centre Equipment Officer; there is a nominal charge of £10 for their hire.

 

Gazebo Hire:

The Junior committee have purchased four 9m x 3m gazebos for Rally Officers to use on the rallies.  There is a small hire for these, £10 each for the weekend.  For bookings, contact the Junior Centre Secretary, Natalie Haig.  Her contact details are in the Rally Brochure.
