CHESHIRE CENTRE 40th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION RALLY SPONSORED BY GLOSSOP CARAVANS
The Cheshire Centre 40th Anniversary Celebration rally was a great success. Although the weather wasn't quite as good as it has been over the last couple of months, the showers didn't dampen the ralliers' spirits. Many of the ralliers arrived on Thursday afternoon taking advantage of the extra night. Friday, the kids were entertained with a fun fair from 10 o'clock in the morning, in the evening, Jo Hartley and Paul Larcombe, aka Elvis, put on a great performance.
Saturday started with a car boot sale that was well attended, then we had a wood carving display, the Lancashire Fusiliers, the Opening Ceremony, craft and photographic competitions, and more entertainment for the juniors, all supported by various traders showing their wares. The evening started with Ray Stoney, who also compared the evening, followed by Tommy Barron and then Jive Talking which made for an excellent night's entertainment.
Sunday started with a Family Walk, a Fun Run and then finished with the Closing Ceremony and a lovely concert by the Lions Juniors Band.
Thanks very much to everyone who attended, and a special thank you to all those ralliers who helped in any way, you were great.
